Suggest an object
You may suggest an object you do not own. You may not treat a suggestion as permission to go and look at it.
We are looking for objects that combine longevity with a measurable response and a history somebody can check: bells, clocks, violins, violas, cellos, viols, organs, tuning forks, music boxes, historical scientific apparatus, and other durable resonant things.
Age on its own is not an argument. The most useful thing you can tell us is not how old something is but what can be reconstructed about it - who has had it, what has been done to it, and whether the alterations are recorded anywhere.
Suggestions reach us by email. There is no form and no login: write to the address below and tell us, in as much or as little detail as you have, what the object is and what can be verified about it.
